I have a question that has confused me for quite a long time: how do you recognize (see the difference) of Latin letters (A to Z system) and Cyrillic alphabet ?

For example:

р (rolling R in Russian) and p (English)

В (RU) and B (En)

у (RU) and y (En)

С (RU) and C (En)

e.g. Вау (WOW) & Bay (gulf) — in print form, there seem to be NO difference )))

As to the written form, russian T is like an "M", б is similar to "d".

Do you feel any ... urh ... inconvenience ? (Do you get accustomed to it naturally, when you learn English at the beginning ? )

well, it usually depends on the whole word, so for example, if we see the typed word "роза", we know it's russian P, and not english P, because the rest of the word contains purely russian letter З, and besides, it also very much depends on the rest of the text. actually it almost always depends on the context, but these things are rare, (Вау (WOW) & Bay (gulf)) so we do not get that much confused anyway. plus, we're native Russian speakers (and writers ), so it does come sort of naturally to us.

Today is the first day that I have had some "breakthrough" in pronouncing the Russian Rolling R ))) I have been trying to practice "P" according to Ms. Pka_liloo's method, and finally I can make my tongue (tip of my tongue) vibrate a little )))

But the sound is started by using some consonants like "д" and "т". Those noises are like this: http://files.etherway.ru/DC1C18

I couldn't pronouce rolling r without the aid of D or T, and coudn't connect vowels like "ра", "ре", "ри" ))) Next what should I do to conquer those barriers ? Always appreciate your help )))

Recently I have heard a Russian music "Желанная", what does this word mean ?

I checked dictionary and got these:

жела́|нный p.p.p. of ~ть and adj. wished for, longed for, desired, beloved;

ж. гость welcome visitor.

фс - fouls the player got from the opponents
