During playing for the Gorzów's team, Liuda was coached by Dariusz Maciejewski.

Maciejewski was born in 1964) in Gorzów and he lives here all the time. In the years 1985-1990 he was studying in Moscow (Faculty of the Physical Culture - coaching specialisation). Famous Aleksander Gomelski was his teacher then. Coach Dariusz was playing basketball 5 years in one of the Moscow teams. Being with Aleksander Gomelski on the two training camps (CCCP National Team; CSKA Moscow), he met there such the great players as: Heino Enden, Arvydas Sabonis, Rimas Kurtinaitis, Valdemaras Chomicius.

After he was graduated in Moscow, Maciejewski came back to Gorzów and started rebuilding women basketball in Gorzów. In the year 2004 AZS Gorzów team advanced to the Polish Women Basketball League (Polska Liga Koszykówki Kobiet - shortened name: PLKK).

AZS Gorzów achievements (in PLKK):
2004/2005 - 8-th
2005/2006 - 5-th
2006/2007 - 4-th
2007/2008 - 3-rd (bronze)
2008/2009 - 2-nd (silver)
2009/2010 - 2-nd (silver)

But I think .... as long as the contracts aren't signed, these are only the words (and our - the fans from Gorzów - wishes).
There is no doubt. The authorities of our club and the fans really want "Liuda" and "Sam" to play for Gorzów (Sapa for the second and Sam for the third season in Gorzów).

I - personally - appreciate Sapa as a basketball player. It's a great pleasure to see her on the floor. She is - as we say in Poland "zawodniczka kompletna" - a complete player.

As far as I know, the club is looking for the new sponsors. At the moment there is no news about our team-roster for the next season.

In today's local edition of the newspaper "Gazeta Wyborcza" there is an interview with coach Dariusz Maciejewski (who just has come back from the U.S. after being there 3 weeks on the coach's practice in some of the WNBA clubs).

Darusz Maciejewski said:
1. Liudmila won't be playing for the Gorzów's club in the season 20010/2011.
2. Liudmila has got a proposal of the contract from the Orenburg's club.
3. That proposal was much better (much more money) than we (Gorzów) could propose to Liudmila.
4. Maciejewski got (during his stay in the U.S.) the proposal of contract from Orenburg club, too.
5. Liudmila has even sent SMS to Maciejewski asking him, whether they (Liudmila and Dariusz) meet in Orenburg (because Liudmila's friends said that this could happen).
6. Maciejewski thanked to the Orenburg's club for that proposal and refused (but he said: ... maybe someday .... who knows ...).
