Did playing with Cappie again this off-season in Russia make you want to retun even more?
12:02 Penny Taylor: Playing with Cappie is always a great honor and lots of fun. Besides being a great friend, she's a great teammate too. We talked alot about our championship season in Phoenix and in a way it did make me excited again about the possibility of coming back.

HI Penny! How did you feel when u got back to the team in middle of the season and able to start off good quickly? What helped you to perform that level?
12:03 Penny Taylor: Coming back halfway through the season, especially coming off an injury, can be difficult. I'm lucky to have the greatest
teammates and coaches and their support has helped me have a smooth transition coming back and fitting into the team.

What's the biggest difference between Coach Gaines and Coach Westhead?
12:04 Penny Taylor: Hmm. I think the biggest difference is defensively. With Coach Westhead we had a set system that worked really well, and Corey has different looks and defenses, with different approaches for every team.

Penny, did you participate in any other sports besides basketball growing up? And, other than basketball what's your favorite sport to watch?
12:05 Penny Taylor: Oh, in school I did kiddie athletics. I did soccer for a while but broke my leg and put that away. I did the usual playing in the school yard, with cricket, which is like American baseball. But mostly basketball. In addition to basketball, I love watching soccer and the major tournaments in tennis too.

Do you have any pregame rituals?
12:06 Penny Taylor: No. In the past I did, but traveling the world and different cities keeping pregame routines the same, it's just hard to keep up with it. They've all kinda fallen away.

Hi Penny! I'm so glad you came back to play this year! I have been your biggest fan since your Rockers days and got to meet you a few times( I have A Taylor Rockers jersey)My question is do you like coming off the bench or do u prefer starting? Good luck in the playoffs Penny!! GO MERCURY!!
12:09 Penny Taylor: Firstly, it's not often I meet a Rockers fan, so thank you. Coming off the bench is different, and I haven't done alot of it. But it's part of coming back halfway through the season and trying to give whatever I can to help the team. Whether starting or coming off the bench, as long as we're winning and doing well, I'm very happy to help the team reach our goals.

What did you miss the most about Phoenix, while you were away?
12:10 Penny Taylor: I missed, mostly, playing in front of the amazing fans. I played in Russia in the offseason, which also had a good following, but the amazing energy of the Phoenix fans is great. I also missed all the great restaurants in the city of Phoenix. The best sushi in the world!

12:11 Penny Taylor: This is someone that most Phoenix fans would know, Michelle Timms, who is from the same city as me, Melbourne in Australia. I've always looked up to her as an athlete and she is truly a fantastic person as well.

Penny Your A Joy To Watch... My Question Is. If Not A Professional Basketball Player What Would Your Occupation Be??
12:12 Penny Taylor: Oh. I hate that question! Good one, though. I just don't have an answer for you. I've always loved reading and writing, I've been a bit of a bookworm all my life, so maybe something in that area. I've been lucky to reach all my goals in my career, so it's hard to answer that one, because I've been so blessed in my chosen career.

What was your favorite moment in the WNBA? And why?
12:14 Penny Taylor: Obviously winning the championship in 2007. It was such a fulfilling experience and I got to achieve it with some of my best friends. On all levels, it was one of the greatest accomplishments in addition to the world championships in Brazil in 2006.

SAN has given us some challenges in the past - we are either really hot or cold as ice. How do you think the team will respond to SAN in their house?
12:15 Penny Taylor: You're right they are a very good team and we've had some difficulty with them. I do know, though, that we always rise to a challenge. We have amazing determination when we need to. I am confident we have the players to overcome any challenge.
12:16 Penny Taylor: Thanks to all the fans for your support and encouragement. Especially for welcoming me back. It's truly appreciated.
